Montréal’s many festivals and events are among the greater metropolitan area’s key tourist and cultural attractions. The Government of Québec is a proud sponsor of the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival, cognizant of its vital contribution to the Montréal cultural scene.
The Osheaga Music and Arts Festival is one of Québec’s major international arts events and the largest festival of its kind in Canada. A gathering place for music industry professionals from around the world, Osheaga has won glowing recognition for Montreal on the international scene. It is a hugely popular festival, attracting tens of thousands of Québecers as well as tourists to the city. A summer staple for more than ten years at Parc Jean-Drapeau, the festival has benefited hotels and restaurants and generated substantial tourist spinoffs.
